2015/12/19 "Striezelmarkt" Dresden
During Christmas nearly every German city hosts at least one Christmas market. One of the "oldest" is the "Striezelmarkt" in Dresden. This market exists since 1434. Dresden is not only famous for this Christmas market, but also for the "Christstollen" - a traditional fruit bread with raisins and icing sugar.
Christmas markets offer a comfortable ambient, where one can drink and eat traditional snacks or meals (like mulled wine, grilled sausage,...) and buy hand-made clothes (like socks, hats, gloves, scarves,...).
