When visiting one of the most thriving cities in the world - New York City -, I definitely recommend to take a helicopter trip above Manhattan.
Taking off from Pier 11 the helicopter passed by "Governors Island" when heading towards the "Statue of Liberty". Within the next 10 minutes we passed by Manhattan up to "Central Park" and then all the way back, getting a good view on the city from the other side of the helicopter.
The weather was cold on the day I did the tour, but therefore the sky was absolutely clear - so I had a walk-over taking the picture with my iPhone6.
