Großglockner, Austria

Großglockner, October 17th, 2022

Austria's tallest mountain is the Großglockner. There is something special about the scale of these mountaintops. Harsh cliffs towering hundreds of feet tall, mountain sides covered in ice and snow, a landscape that's been like this for millennia. Though, while the top of the mountain is covered in snow all year round, it is scary to learn how fast the glacier is disappearing.

The curvy roads to get up to the mountain provide for a scenic and fun drive. Fair warning: passengers might not enjoy the drive as much as the person behind the steering wheel.

Mochi enjoyed the challenge of climbing and jumping across the rocks and taking-in the views. At the visitor center, there are a few small hikes for spectacular views of the mountain and the landscape. - Be sure to bring your hiking boots, even for a short hike!
