Catching up from a previous road trip through the Austrian Alps.
The Alps are one of the most rewarding places to vacation at. - They provide challenging roads, dreamy villages, stunning mountain-tops and a variety of delicious food.
I usually visit for 1-2 weeks and it always is a flexible escape from the busy city life with options for hikes to challenge your cardio in the summer, alpine skiing for a an adrenaline rush, or spa hotels for deep relaxation.
While Switzerland probably provides the most stunning nature, I find Austria and Northern Italy to give the best bang for your buck.
